Petra Kuuva

Petra Kuuva taught two courses: Development of Literary Language and Aanaar Saami Dialects. She has been working in language nests and as a teacher of Aanaar Saami classes at the primary school level.

Petter Morottaja

CASLE's head teacher Petter Morottaja received very positive feedback from his students, right from the beginning of CASLE and until the end of it: 'One of the best things throughout CASLE was the fact that we had such great teachers, especially Petter' (From the summary of student feedback for the Beginning and Continuing courses).
Asking about the greatest challenge of classroom teaching, Petter replies that it was the language itself.

Matti Morottaja

Matti Morottaja, Petter’s father, the well-known Aanaar Saami teacher and initiator of the Aaanaar Saami revitalisation movement, was very experienced in Aanaar Saami language planning. It was natural to ask him to teach this course.

Taarna Valtonen

Taarna Valtonen is a Finnish linguist who learned Aanaar Saami as an adult. She taught Aanaar Saami Syntax.

Marja-Liisa Olthuis

Project Manager Marja-Liisa Olthuis taught Word Formation and Translation, which were her specialities from her doctoral thesis. She also taught Writing, together with Petter Morottaja.
